Payoneer Global Bank Transfer

Payoneer may also be used to fund your bank account in your local currency, instead of funding the Payoneer debit card.

When you sign up for Payoneer through our site, at the bottom fill out the form where it says "Get paid directly to your bank account".

This is a great way to be paid in your local currency while also avoiding our high minimum payout requirements for international wire transfers.

Bank wire transfer

This section specifically deals with international wire transfers, meaning transfers from our bank in the USA to another bank located outside of the United States. For information on domestic wire transfers, look further down this page.

Account number and IBAN

To send you money, we need your bank account number. Your account number can be just a simple number or it can be in IBAN format (International Bank Account Number).

  • Example of an account in numerical format: 3432144670
  • Example of an account in IBAN format: GB35MIDL40253432144670

Both are acceptable, but IBAN is preferable when it is available. Some countries use IBAN and some do not.

There are many other valid IBAN formats, but the IBAN always starts with 2 letters.

If you want to verify that your IBAN is in the correct format, please use this page: http://www.tbg5-finance.org/?ibancheck.shtml

We prefer to receive the account number as one complete string of numbers or letters, with no spaces or dashes.

Name on the account

It is extremely important that the name you provide us as the "name on the account" matches the actual owner of the bank account, otherwise the wire transfer will be rejected by your bank.

SWIFT/BIC code

Please see our page on SWIFT codes.

Correspondent banks

Almost always, the correspondent bank information provided by your bank is not needed for us to send you a wire transfer.

The only information we need is the beneficiary bank and account information, in other words, your bank account information, which is the final destination of where the money will be sent.

Routing numbers and sort codes

For banks located outside the USA, routing numbers and sort codes are not needed.

You only need to provide the SWIFT code of your bank and your account number.

Domestic wire transfer

A domestic wire transfer refers to a wire transfer done to a bank located in the USA. In general, we recommend direct deposits as a preferred payment method instead of domestic wire transfers as banks generally charge money to receive wire transfers.

Routing number for wire transfer

If you choose to be paid by domestic wire transfer, it is important that you contact your bank and specifically ask for the routing number for wire transfers as this number is generally different from the bank's normal ABA routing number which may only apply to direct deposits.

Direct deposit

How to locate your routing number and account number.

Direct deposit is the preferred method for models in the USA to be paid.

Routing number

Your routing number for direct deposit is a 9-digit number located on your printed checks.

You can also ask your bank for it or find it on your bank's website. It may be referred to as the routing number for ACH or "Paper and electronic".

You may confirm your routing number at this website: http://www.routingnumbers.org/

Name on the account

It is extremely important that the name you provide us as the "name on the account" matches the actual owner of the bank account, otherwise the direct deposit will be rejected by your bank.

Checks in the mail

We do not recommend that models receive checks by mail as this method takes the longest amount of time.

But for models that wish to do so, here are some important tips:

  • Double-check your address and make sure it is correct.
    • include any apartment number or unit number.
    • include the full street names ("1234 Main St." instead of just "1234 Main")
    • do not use too many abbreviations ("County Road" is better than "CR")
    • verify your address with Google Maps if you are unsure of the correct format.
    • verify your ZIP code, as those change frequently.

Please make sure that your Name is registered with the post office, so the postal carrier knows to deliver your mail addressed to you, to that particular address.

Please do not contact us unless at least 1 month has passed since the end of the pay period and you still have not received your check.

Cashing your check

It is much better, safer, faster, cheaper, and easier to deposit your check into a real bank account than trying to cash it at some check-cashing place.

Please deposit it into a real bank account.

Common issues for models from different countries

Australia

  • Please enter your account number as your bank's BSB code followed by your bank account number.

Canada

  • You may need to enter your account number in your payment information as your bank transit number followed by your actual bank account number.

Philippines

  • We need your bank account number, which is not the same thing as your ATM card number. Ask your bank for the account number if you do not have it.

United Kingdom

  • SWIFT codes are also known as BIC (Bank Identification Codes) so when we ask for SWIFT, just put in your bank's BIC code. If you do not have it, please call and ask your bank for its BIC code.
  • For wire transfers, we need the account number in IBAN format. Please tell your bank you need to receive an international wire transfer and ask them for your full IBAN account number.
  • You can receive a Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment just with your Account Number and BIC if you sign up with Payoneer's Global Bank Transfer service. Just choose Payoneer from the list of payment options.
